Religious and Educational Disclosure: Part of Present Parenting is living and leading in whatever eternal truths you hold dear. There are many choices out there regarding what to believe and what to share with your children.
It should be known that Brent and I are active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and we are passionate about education, which includes home-schooling our younger children using many philosophic ideas from Thomas Jefferson Education. For us, both support the Accountability Pyramid mindsets. As we share parenting experiences, we will naturally include some connections to these two important aspects of our lives. We certainly hope that readers do not feel that our intentions in making such connections are to convince others that our religious or educational style is right for everyone. On the contrary, we truly believe that practicing the concept of being "present" actually leads us each on a unique path that's very individual and personalized and therefore often very different...and that's a beautiful thing. In short, Present Parenting is applicable to many religions and educational styles.
Present Parenting does not necessarily represent the views of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or Thomas Jefferson Education.
